Signage for The Recyclery Collective

The Recyclery Collective is a community bike shop and learning space in Chicago. Because it is staffed by volunteers and has a variety of programs, its hours are nontraditional and can change based on volunteer availability. The challenge was to make signage that was visible and guided people to the program they needed, and also was able to be changed.

I decided on orientation the information around the question of what a passerby might want to do at the shop, and then leave large blank blocks for hours to be written in and changed. The result is an improvement over the previous system of taping a small flyer in the window, and gives the shop a more welcoming face.
